Fibrex Composite, in Andersen’s Words
Fibrex is Andersen’s own material. Andersen says it combines “wood fiber and thermoplastic polymer within and around each cell to create unique strength,” and that it’s “2x stronger than vinyl with a smooth finish that never needs paint.”
That’s the 100 Series frame. If you want a wood interior instead, that’s the 400 Series.

Andersen’s product warranty doesn’t depend on who installs the window. The 2-year installation warranty does. In Andersen’s words: “In addition to our standard product warranty, you’ll also receive a 2-year limited installation warranty for products installed by a Certified Contractor.”

Andersen Elite Certified Contractor vs. Renewal by Andersen
People mix these two up all the time, so let’s clear it up. Renewal by Andersen is a separate Andersen business. IHC is not part of it. We’re an Andersen Elite Certified Contractor, and we install Andersen’s 100 Series, 400 Series and A-Series windows.
Andersen explains the difference on its own site: Andersen or Renewal by Andersen? One line from that page worth reading: Andersen says you “might benefit” from going with an Andersen Certified Contractor “if your home improvement project will include related work, like replacing siding, roofing, and more.” We do James Hardie siding too.
