We received a call from a property manager for a repair to a window that was leaking. During the initial investigation, the representative came to the conclusion that the windows were fine, the real issue was the siding was leaking. He also noticed that there was significant hail damage to the siding.
The manager, recognizing the opportunity, introduced the representative to the homeowner association’s president. The president, being intelligent, also realized the situation and immediately hired Innovative to help the community with the insurance claim.
From that point on, Innovative handled everything.
Our team of large loss specialists, that works exclusively with management companies on hail damage losses to roofs, siding, and gutters, did a thorough inspection and property damage report. They filled the claim for the client, met with the representatives of the insurance company, documented and made sure all of the hail damage was noted by the insurance representative, negotiated the cost to repair the damages, fought the insurance company to make sure they made the community whole by covering all of the siding on the buildings (not just repairs and partial elevations), procured fees for the management company in excess of $64k, and eventually professionally general contracted the restoration project.
All in all, the homeowner’s association was ecstatic because they saved $458k on the project, raised their property values, and now have an updated and beautiful community. The community was also extremely happy with the property manager and the management company that brought this idea to them. And to top it off, Innovative was able to get the property management company paid.
