Rhett Wilborn
President/Founder
Rhett is a life long Chicago area resident. He has been the home improvement business practically his whole life. His father Terry started a small home renovation/home building company in 1974. Rhett worked for his Dad while in High School and College. And then in 1993, he started working for his Dad full time, first as a laborer, then in sales, then as a manager.
In 2004, his Dad retired and Rhett took over the company. "In the past 10 years Innovative Home Concepts has grown significantly. We're quickly becoming Mchenry County's go to company for Replacement Windows and Doors, Siding, Roofing, Gutter Guards, and more...Our ultimate goal is to become the first choice for home improvements for the entire Chicagoland area!"
Courtney Wander
General Manager
No stranger to the home improvement business, Courtney is working on her second stint with the owners of Innovative. She originally ran office operations for the company back in the 90's. After a few years working on other projects, she has come back to take the reins as the general manager and is now directing the direction and future of the company.
Courtney is the "go-to" person in the office. She knows all aspects of the business and how they work. Our customers love Courtney's honesty and her "go the extra mile" attitude.
Courtney lives in Mchenry, Illinois and spends her free time with her four young children, Aiden, Ryleigh, Albe and Olive.
Scott Ross
Director of Sales
As anyone who speaks with Scott knows, he is a transplant from Brooklyn, New York. And even though Scott is newer to the home improvement business, he is not a stranger to customer service and business in general.
Scott has extensive experience in the hospitality business having worked for some of the largest, most prestigious hotels in New York City in event management. He has planned and executed events for many celebrities, Fortune 500 companies, and Politicians, including an event for than President Barack Obama. As he will tell you, when you do an event for a President you are vetted by the Secret Service. It is one of the most rigorous background checks anyone can go through.
After leaving hospitality, Scott went into telecommunications where he and his brother started a chain of retail cell phone stores. Their organization grew to several hundred outlets before Scott decided he was ready for another change and another challenge.
Scott moved from the hustle and bustle of New York to sleepy town of Crystal Lake, his wife Shawna's hometown. Soon after Scott joined the team at Innovative.
Scott for fun spends time with his lovely wife, their beautiful children, and dozens and dozens of Golden Retrievers! (Scott and Shawna breed Goldens).
Bernt Hermannson 1938-2015
Mentor / Friend / Senior Sales Consultant
Bernt had helping folks renovate and improve their homes for over 40 years. His technical and industry knowledge was unsurpassed. His gentle approach and expertise in regards to windows and doors, siding, roofing, and gutters was second to none. Bernt used to say, "I just love helping people enjoy their homes more by making improvements".
Bernt stood as the patriarch of Innovative for more than 4 year. During that time, we learned something new from him everyday. We will dearly miss his positive attitude and will to persist. Rest in Peace Old Friend.
